  [S549] Journal: History of the Tilton Family in America, Vol. 1, #4, p.10. [S2928] Book: William Tilton, his English Origins and some American descendants, Notes. William Tilton (1586-ca. 1653) was born at Wolston, County Warwick, England, the son of Robert and Elizabeth Focel Tilton. He married Ursula Pycroft, daughter of Thomas and Mary Daffern Pycroft, in 1610/11 at Claybrooke, Leicestershire. They had two sons, 1612/13-1620. Ursula died in May 1638 and he married 2) Susana in December 1638. They had four children, ca. 1639-ca. 1654. The family was living at Lynn, Massachusetts, by 1643. He died at Lynn.
