26342 Witnesses at their marriage were Louis Arsenauld and Mary Bourc and many others. Family F4954

26343 Witnesses at their marriage were Louis Arseneau, father of the groom; Thomas Galant, friend of the groom; Pierre Doiron, father of the bride; and Placide Doiron, brother of the bride. The bride was of minor age and the groom of major age when they married.

Discrepency: Irene Terrio said the marriage was in the Cap Pele Register. The marriage entry for Hilaire and Anne cannot be located in the Cap Pele/Shemogue Parish Register. It is in the Barachois Register, p.215,M.1.,microfilm reel C-3016 at Library Archives Canada.

On Ancestry.com in the Drouin collection, the marriage can be found under the parish of Barachois. And in looking at the beginning of the register for 1800 to 1838, the priest mentions that the register is for the parishes of Barachois, Naboujagan and Didiche. But the image from ancestry is showing the spine of the register with the wording Bouctouche, 1800 a 1838. In looking at the other Barachois registers for later years in the Drouin collection, they all show the spine of the register as Barachois.
