25478 There was a Donald Robertson who died 11 Feb 1871 in Barney's River, NS (Pictou Co Death records and 1871 census) but this is not the correct Donald. This Donald is listed as a widower. From Marsha MacKay on 20 Mar 2003:

#788 on your list, is not Hannah Oulton's husband Donald Robertson. We don't know
what ever happened to him, other than rumour has it he left his family, and headed for the States, and died down there, Gawd knows when or where. The Donald Robertson mentioned in the death register, 1871 Census is a widower, and I have to admit, he's one of the Donald Robertson's I haven't figured out yet. There were "MANY" Donald Robertsons even in that small area of Pictou County. Hannah was still living in 1871.

His farm had 5 horses, 40 horned beasts, 25 sheep and 13 pigs. It is probable that some of his children lived with him as well as a domestic servant. Doiron, Isidore dit GĂ©dore (I2566)
