B26-p.72,73-b.yr,talks of another document from the Archives of St Louis Cathedral in New Orleans, which mentions that Charle's sister, Marie, survived the 1755 tragedy...Paul and Marie sought refuge in Louisiana...Placide Gaudet,who was not aware of the New Orleans document...Charles was separated from his parents and never saw them again...at the age of six in 1755, he was adopted by his godmother,Marguerite Grovalet, who took care of him as if he were her own son....They took refuge at Chipoudie and then at Ile St Jean. According to Placide Gaudet, Charles was 18 when he left Ile St.Jean to reach Minudie in Nova Scotia...
