Linus Joseph Arsenault 77, Sydney The death of Linus Joseph Arsenault, 77, of
Sydney, occurred on Friday, Oct. 20, 2006 at the Cape Breton Regional
Hospital, Sydney. Born in Margaree, Inverness Co. on April 29, 1929, Linus
was the son of the late Alex and Helen (LeBlanc) Arsenault. Linus was
employed at Club Champlain (French Club) for the last 34 years and had
worked until July of this year when his illness prevented him from
continuing. He is survived by his daughter, Dolphine (Wayne Rossetti),
Sydney; his sons Alex, Charlotttetown, P.E.I.; Arthur and Allen, Sydney;
brothers Clifford (June), Sydney; Raymond (Pat), Brampton, Ont.; Robert,
Toronto; sister, Isabelle Tell, Sydney and his ten grandchildren. He was
predeceased by his wife, Mary Helen (Poirier); his sisters Julia, Mary Jane
Delaney and his brothers Emile and Joseph. Visitation for the late Mr.
Arsenault will take place at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, second level on
Monday, 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be
celebrated on Wednesday, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart Church with Rev.
Jim Oliver officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made to the Canadian
Cancer Society.

Bobby gave me a copy of Mom's Certificate of Birth and Baptism.
She was baptized by Rev. T. Richard on March 26, 1904 at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Saint Joseph du Moine. Her Godfather was Arsene Chiasson and her godmother was Marie Anne Shomphe. On the certificate it states that she was married on October 8, 1923 to Alexander Arsenault.
The Birth and Baptism Certificate was signed by the pastor of Saint Joseph's Charles Omer Cormier.
