    1923-2008

    Gélas H. Landry, 84, of Cap-Pelé passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton following a brief illness.

    Born February 20, 1923 in Dupuis Corner, he was the son of the late Honoré and Élina (Arsenault) Landry. Mr. Landry was a fisherman and a carpenter all his life.

    He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 63 years, Dorice (Vienneau) Landry, three daughters: Bernadette Cormier (Roger Bastarache) of Bouctouche, Stella LeBlanc (Fernand) of St.Antoine, Rosella Caissie (Gaston) of Dieppe; four sons: Oscar (Bonnie) of Moncton, Ola (Françine) and Emery "Cookie"(Jeannette) of Grand-Barachois, Léon (Gisèle Wells) of Cap-Pelé; five sisters: Rebecca Bourque of Shediac, Léontine Meunier and Édith LeBlanc (Alphée) both of Dieppe, Sylvie Saulnier of Cap-Pelé, and Rina Lirette of Grand-Barachois; one brother, Alcide Landry (Cécile) of Cap-Pelé; eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and by several nieces and nephews.

    He was predeceased by a brother Alonzo and by three sisters: infant Stella, Yvonne and Léa.

    Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Thursday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday,from 10 a.m. until time of departure (10:50 a.m.). Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2008 at Ste. Thérèse d'Avila R.C. Church, Cap-Pelé. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. Léon Richard Oncology Center of the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital would be appreciated.

    Doris Landry
    1923-2014

    Doris Landry, 90, of the Villa Providence and formerly of Cap-Pelé, passed away suddenly surrounded by her loving family on Friday January 17, 2014 Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UCH.  Born October 30, 1923 in St-André, she was the daughter of the late Tilmon and Françoise (Cormier) Vienneau.
    She will be sadly missed by her three daughters: Bernadette Cormier and Rosella Caissie (Gaston) all of Moncton and Stella LeBlanc (Fernand) of St-Antoine; four sons: Oscar (Bonnie) of Moncton, Ola (Francine) of Dieppe, Émery "Cookie"(Jeannette) of Shediac and Léon (Gisèlle) of Cap-Pelé; two sisters: Lorraine O’Brien of Florida and Rita LeBlanc of Grand-Barachois; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
    She was predeceased by her husband, Gélas (2008); two sisters: Geneva and Eveline; two brothers: Adrice and Léandre.

    The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 2642 chemin Acadie, Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse d’Avila R.C.Church in Cap-Pelé on Tuesday January 21, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.
    In memory of Doris, donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
