    Walter Martin Haberski, 76, of Middletown, husband of the late Lois (Gass) Haberski, passed away at his home on Monday, October 8th. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Leon and Louisa Haberski.
    Walter was a veteran of the United States Army and worked as an Engineer.
    He is survived by his five children, Stephen Haberski of ME, Linda Franklin of TX, Lisa Chasse of NC, Leon Haberski of Middletown and James Haberski of OR; a sister, Adele French of Durham; sister-in-law, Evelyn Haberski of FL; thirteen grandchildren(including two they raised as their own, Jason and Cheryl) and several great grandchildren.

    Lois (Gass) Haberski

    Departed on May 25, 2010 and resided in Middletown, CT.
     Lois Anita (Gass) Haberski, 79, of Middletown, beloved wife of Walter M. Haberski for fifty-four years, passed away on Tuesday, May 25th at Middlesex Hospital after struggling for several years with Alzheimer's. Born in Bangor, Maine on November 21, 1931, she was the daughter of the late James and Gwendolyn (Hazelton) Gass.
    Lois was a lifelong resident of Connecticut, a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church in Southington and was employed with the State of Connecticut Corrections for fifteen years. She loved her family and was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
    Besides her husband, Lois is survived by her five children, Stephen D. Haberski of ME, Linda Franklin of Texas, Leon B. Haberski and his wife, Karen of Middletown, Lisa B. Haberski of Middlefield and James W. Haberski and his wife, Pam of Oregon; a brother, Christopher Wright of Alaska; eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours and in lieu of flowers, friends may make donations in Lois's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, CT Chapter, 279 New Britain Road, Suite 5, Kensington, CT 06037.

    In Memory of Gwendolyn Gass
    Gwendolyn Gass 14 January 1915 - March 7, 2002, 87 of New Britain, a former Newington resident, diedThursday, 7 March 2002 at Walnut Hill Convalescent Home. She was the widow of James William Gass. Born in Bangor, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Leroy Hazelton and Avis Gilman. She was a former New Britain and Newington resident before moving back to New Britain several years ago. She was formerly employed for 25 years at Guida Siebert Dairy and was a member of St. Marks Episcopal Church. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Walter Haberski of Uncasville; a son Christopher Wright of Canada; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 6 greatgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday evening at 7:00 PM at Erickson-Hansen FuneralHome, 411 S. Main St, New Britain. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Monday evening from 5:00 PM until the time of the service. Memorial donations may be made to St. Marks Episcopal Church,147 West Main St, New Britain.
