Anne Stuart Oulton
(September 27, 1918 - March 17, 2011)
Oulton, Anne Stuart (nee MacLennan) – 92 years, passed away peacefully March 17, 2011 in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche. She was predeceased by husband, Don; one brother and 3 sisters. She is survived by son, Stuart (Judy), Geneva, Switzerland; daughter, Susan (Ray); grandchildren, Chris (Dawn), Victoria, Lindsay (Ryan) and Doug; great grandchildren, Cyndee, William and Meadow, all of Dartmouth. Anne was born in Maymont, Saskatchewan, a daughter of the late Duncan and Maggie (Urquahart) MacLennan, and then lived in the Montreal area until retiring to Tatamagouche in the early 80’s. Over the years, Anne enjoyed curling, golf, and almost any kind of game. She enjoyed working outdoors, gardening and picking berries. Up to the time of her passing, she participated in local card parties and often hosted bridge in her home. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends near and far. A very heartfelt thank you to the staff of Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care and comfort of Anne. Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche (657-3288) and funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 21 in Sharon United Church, Tatamagouche, Rev. Chuck Patterson officiating. Reception to follow in the Church basement. Interment will be held at a later date in Tatamagouche Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital or Sharon United Church.
