    Albertina Doiron
    1936-2014
    Albertina 'Bertie" Doiron, 78, of Westford Nursing Home in Port Elgin and formerly of Riverside Dr. in Shediac, passed away on Friday November 7, 2014 at her residence following a lengthy illness. Born October 24, 1936 in Cap-Pelé, she was the daughter of the late Edouard and Marguerita (Bourque) Landry.
    A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed knitting, cooking, bowling, darts and cards. She was a former employee of the Gallant Nursing Home and Red Cross Home Care Services. She was also a longtime member and past president of the Royal Canadian Ladies Auxiliary Branch # 33, Shediac, NB.
    She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Camille; four children: Ann Doiron Benchaban (Yazide) of Dubai, Rita Doiron MacAleese (Daniel), Oliver (Denise) all of Shediac and Léo (Carole) of Moncton; three sisters: Léonie Matfin (Keith) of Carlisle, ON, Carmelita Starchuk of Wellings, ON, Mona Burta (Michael) of Smithville, ON; two brothers: Roy of Etobicoke, ON, Oscar (Jean) of Smithville, ON; six grand children: Pierre, Justin, France, Mark, Camille and Léo-François;  two step granddaughters, Mélanie and Michelle; three great-granddaughters: Emelie, Adèle and Sophie; one sister in-law, Lydia Landry of Matawa, ON; one special niece, Diane Starchuk, as well as several nieces and nephews.
    She was predeceased by a brother, Edouard Jr. Landry (2008).
    The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral Centre, 396 Main St, Shediac (532-3297). Visiting hours are Wednesday November 12, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, and Thursday 9:30 a.m. until time of departure (10:20 a.m.). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Joseph R.C. Church in Shediac on Thursday November 13, 2014 at 10;30 a.m. followed by a reception at the Shediac Multifunctional Centre. Inturnment will be in the Frenette Funeral Center Columbarium, Shediac.
    In memory of Bertie, a contribution to the Westford Nursing Home or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated.
    Cremation and funeral arrangements have been entrusted to professional care of Frenette Funeral Center, Shediac.
