    Florence Landry

    Florence Landry, 93, wife of the late J. Adelard Landry, of Résidence du Marais, Dieppe, formerly of Moncton, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2002 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born April 27, 1909 in Rivière Hébert, NS, she was the daughter of the late André LeBlanc and Geneviève Caissie. She was a retired Nursing Assistant at The Moncton Hospital before retirement. She is survived by her two daughters, Sylvia Myers (Ernest) of Moncton, Thérèse Trozollillo of New Jersey; two sons, Louis (Gail) of Dieppe, Marcel (Marguerite) of Moncton; a half-sister, Anna Richard of ON; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two greatgreat-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Pete Loziak of ON; a daughter-in-law, Bertha Landry of USA; several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, J. Adelard (May 2002); a daughter, Maria Loziak; a son, Antoine; adopted parents, Albénie and Léonie (Melanson) Bourque; a brother, Raymond; sisters, Laura Bourgeois, Ella Horseman; and a half-sister, Edna Breau. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. until time of departure (9:45). The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday August 16, 2002 at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church, Moncton. Interment will be in St-Henri Cemetery, Grand-Barachois.     Family stories heard from various relatives have said that Damien LeBlanc used to go to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and to various parts of New Brunswick on contracts to cut lumber. He would take a group of men with him and was boss of the lumber camp.

    His grandson, Damien s/o Peter maintains his grave and stone and showed me (A Owen) where his grave was located in the Haute Aboujagane Cemetery in the summer of 1999. It confirmed that I had found the correct grave in 1974.
