Obituary

Amherst Shore - Ottis William Murray, 71 Amherst Shore, died Sunday, May 26 in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Amherst Shore, he was a son of the late C. Whitney and Hannah (Ogden) Murray. He owned and operated his own farm. He was a school bus driver for 25 years until 1979. He was a member of the Lorneville United Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Marion Weeks; three daughters, Ruth Farrow, Bridgewater; Shirley, Costa Rica; Darlene (Mrs. Howard Stewart), Amherst; a son, Larry, Amherst Shore; four grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Muriel Brownell. Funeral was Wednesday, Rev. Kevin MacKenzie officiating. Burial was in Lorneville Cemetery. This is the last will and testament of me J. William Murray of Amherst Shore in the County of Cumberland Province of Nova Scotia farmer. My will is first that my just debts and funeral expences be paid by my executors hereinafter named and the residue and remainder of my real and personal property which shall not begen..? for such purpose I give and devise and dispose thereof as follows to wit: I give and devise to my beloved wife Lavinia Jane Murray all my personal property for to maintain and school the children until they become of the age of twenty one years also to have the use of my real estate until my children becomes of the age of twenty one years providing she is to give the children schooling and good home and comfortable maintanance. I give and bequeath into my son Charles Whitney Murray one half of my real estate when he becomes of age. I give and bequeath unto my son John William Muray the other half of my real estate when he becomes of age the said real estate to be equally divided when the become of age. I give and devise and bequeath unto Sarah Elizabeth Murray twenty dollars to be paid by my wife her mother when she becomes of age And I do nominate and appoint my wife Levinia Jane Murray to be the sole executrix of this my last will and testament. DIED – The funeral of the late George Bamford OULTON, who died at Lorneville, Cumb. Co., NS onNov.2, 1903, aged 81 years, took place from his residence on Nov.24, 1903, he was the son of Charlesand Eunice Oulton of this place. Three brothers survive him, Buby and Harvey here in Lorneville andEdward in Berwick, NS. He was twice married, his first wife being Mary LOCKHART of Parrsboro,NS, three children of whom survive: Lavinia, Mrs. Charles OGDEN of Amherst Shore, Cumb. Co., NS,Julia, Mrs. E. PINKHAM of Haverhill, Mass., U.S.A. and Daniel in Boston, Mass. His second wife,who survives him was Abigal MURRAY of Amherst Shore, who with one son and one daughter are leftto mourn their loss. The son is George B. Oulton, on the homestead here, and Dena, now Mrs. AllenCHAPMAN of Amherst, NS.
