STRANG, William Raymond - At the Leisureworld Care Centre, Barrie on Saturday, October 9, 2004. William Strang of Barrie and formerly of North Bay in his 81st year. Beloved husband of June (nee Miller) Strang. Loving father of William Strang of Emersberg, Linda, John Strang (Katherine), Deborah Ruck (Peter) all of North Bay, Jennie Strang (Claude Lemieux), Stephen Strang, and Colleen Strang (Eric Burke) all of Barrie. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Kori-Lynn, Jonathan, Carly, Cale, William, Jessica, Dale, Christopher, Brittany, Adam, and Benjamin. Dear brother of Roy Strang of Moncton, New Brunswick.

The Strang family would like to thank good friends Vic and Shirley Smith, Dr. McConvey, the wonderful staff at the Leisureworld Care Centre and the Royal Victoria Hospital.

Friends may call at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home (Clapperton & Worsley Streets) Barrie on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, October 14th, 2004 at 3 p.m. Cremation. In memory of William, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the R.V.H. Regional Cancer Care Centre.

STRANG, June - Passed away at North Bay Regional Health Centre, Saturday, March 12, 2011. June (nee Miller) beloved wife of the late William Strang in her 74th year. Dearly loved mother of John Strang (Katharine), Debbie Ruck (Peter), Jennie Strang (Jamie), Stephen Strang and Colleen Strang (Eric). Lovingly remembered by 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way. Dear sister of Charles Miller and Peggy Maksymetz. Predeceased by her parents Gertrude and Alex Miller, and two sisters Colleen Parnell and Sharon Hall. Family receiving friends at the McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. till time of service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Spring interment Mattawa Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, dontation to the Alzheimers Society of North Bay would be gratefully appreciated by the family. A special thank you to the staff of pier 2 at Leisureworld Caregiving Centre.

Buried in the Fair Haven Memorial Gardens (Sunnybrae). He was a member o fthe Salvation Army Over 60 Club. I remember him selling War Crys. He died on a Wednesday in Moncton Hospital following a brief illness.
