    Ola LeBlanc
    1954-2012

    Ola LeBlanc, 58, of Cap-Pelé, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at The Moncton Hospital. Born December 17, 1954 in Cap-Pelé, he was the son of Geneva Landry and the late André LeBlanc.
    Ola was previously employed with DSS in Shediac, a member and past grand knight of the Cap-Pelé Knights of Columbus, and had a big heart and gave many hours of time for the benefit of others.
    Besides his mother of Shediac, he will be sadly missed by his beloved wife, Bernadine (Cormier) LeBlanc; his two children: Nadia (Marc McLauchlan) of Cap-Pelé and Denis (Sophie Parent) of Shediac; a granddaughter, Mia; his brothers and sisters: Ginette LeBlanc (Paul), Donald (Linda), Jean-Guy (Yvette), Roger (Délia) and Yvette LeBlanc (Jacques) all of Cap-Pelé, Yves of Moncton, many nieces, and nephews.
    The family will receive relatives and friends at the Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297). Visitation Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until time departure to Ste-Thérèse d'Avila R.C.Church, Cap-Pelé, from where the funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, December 27 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
    In memory of Ola, a contribution to the lunch boxes of École Donat Robichaud would be appreciated.

    Family stories heard from various relatives have said that Damien LeBlanc used to go to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and to various parts of New Brunswick on contracts to cut lumber. He would take a group of men with him and was boss of the lumber camp.

    Buried:
    His grandson, Damien s/o Peter maintains his grave and stone and showed me (A Owen) where his grave was located in the Haute Aboujagane Cemetery in the summer of 1999. It confirmed that I had found the correct grave in 1974.
