    Stanley Gould
    December 19, 1938 - April 8, 2015

    It is with great sadness that the family of Stanley Oscar Gould, age 76, of Nappan announce his passing on Wednesday, April 08, 2015 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.

    Born in Nappan, he was the son of the late Oscar and Matilda (MacDonald) Gould. He was very proud that he lived his entire life on his family homestead and was very devoted to and loved his family including all of his many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    Stan began his career in July, 1954 with Robb Engineering in Amherst, retiring in 1990 dueto ill health. He was active with the Kidney Foundation of Canada, serving in many positions including Amherst Chapter President. He was coach and team member of many Nappan Tug of War teams and active in the Amherst Minor Hockey Association. He also served a term as the Nappan Home and School Association President. Stan was a long time active member of the former Nativity of Our Lady Parish and the present Holy Family Parish in Amherst.

    He is survived by his wife the former Sharon Terrio, daughters Michele (Phil) LeBlanc and Glenna (Sean) O’Quinn both of Nappan, sons Ronald (Laura), Kelvin (Nadine), Mark and Paul (Katrina) and special nephew David (Pam Chenhall) Estabrooks all of Amherst. His sister Pauline Comeau, brother Raymond Gould, sister in-laws Barb Gould, Christine Gould all of Amherst, and Winnie Gould of Charlottetown, PEI, Carolyn Droesbeck of Amherst, Claudette Rogers (Nelson) of Truro and brother in-law Aris Legere of Amherst and many nieces and nephews. He was a proud Papa to his 12 grandchildren Stephanie, Douglas, Matthew, Madisyn, Darcy, Zackery, Makenzie, Adrianna, Jordan, Keira as well as Olivia and Isaac and their mother Vicki Donald, and three greatgrandchildren Randi, Justice, and Kiera.

    Stan was predeceased by his parents, brothers Laurence, Norman and Arthur, sisters Dorothy Estabrooks and Muriel Legere, grandson Ronald Lee Gould, sister in-law Eva Gould, brother in-laws Parker Estabrooks and, Charles Comeau and loved in-laws Ronald and Erna Terrio.

    Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish, Amherst, on Monday, April 13, 2015, at 11 am with Celebrant Father Vernon Driscoll.

    Visiting Hours will be at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst for family on Saturday, April 11th from 7-9 pm and open to all on Sunday, April 12th from 2– 4 pm and 7—9 pm with parish prayers at 8:30 p.m.

    Interment will take place at a later date in the St.Charles-Nativity Cemetery, Amherst.

    In lieu of flowers, donations in Stan’s memory may be made to the Amherst Chapter of the Kidney Foundation.
