    FAGE, Bruce Allen James - 59, Brookdale, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2008, in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, with his three children by his side. Born in Amherst on May 12, 1949, Bruce was the second eldest child of Allen and Lillian (Babin) Fage (Brookdale). He graduated from Amherst Regional High School in 1968 and went to work for Speedy Propane. He could put his hands to most anything, but carpentry was his life's work. He was a union carpenter local 1392. He built houses throughout Amherst and Cumberland County and other constructions as far away as Halifax and Moncton. His craftsmanship shows up in the high school, the hospital and many homes and renovations in Amherst, including the construction of the chapel and the cross at Campbell's Funeral Home. Bruce and his wife, Valerie established Riverbend Realty Developments Ltd. in 1992, which resulted in a beautiful subdivision, Riverbend Drive in Brookdale. In 1998 he constructed apartments in Brookdale which he named the Hillsideview Apartments where he resided with daughter Alisha and her family. Bruce will be remembered by all for his love for his family and friends, his great sense of humour, and his love for lobster feeds. Bruce was a loyal member of the Brookdale Hog Growers Association. Bruce is survived by his parents, Allen and Lillian; ex-wife, Valerie, East Amherst; daughters, Tanya Fage, Edmonton, Alta.; Alisha Fage (Colin); grandchildren, Sydney, Serena and Savhannah, all of Brookdale; No. 1 son, Jerett, East Amherst; sisters, Valerie Chappell (Doug), Minudie; Alda (Ivan) Fromm and Norma (Bob) Milner, both of Hastings; brother, Lloyd (Florance), Mill Cove; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Bruce was predeceased by brother Randall William in 1966. Visitation will be held today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Campbell's Chapel with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. Family flowers only.     Allen Avard Fage age 89 of Brookdale, Nova Scotia passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS. Born in Hastings, he was the son of the late Avard Nelson and Violet McAllister (Rockwell) Fage. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise’s), Squadron C in Italy as a tank driver. After the war, he returned home and worked for the Maritime Lumber Bureau as a lumber grader. He worked at Tantramar Motors for a number of years. Later, he upgraded his education and became a radio and TV repairman. He also worked at Fort Cumberland Hotel as Head of Security. Allen loved to travel, was an avid fisherman and loved to play crib. He loved his vegetable garden and would grow different crops each year including giant pumpkins. Allen was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Allen is survived by his children, Valerie Chappell, Alda (Ivan) Fromm, Norma (Bob) Milner all of the Amherst Area and Lloyd (Florance Miller) of Mill Cove, NS. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, the former Lillian Marie Babin, sons, Bruce and Randall, sisters Beryl (Andrew) O’Brien, Doris (Ralph) Webber, Dorothy (Ralph) Thompson and brother Lawrence. Visitation will be held on Monday from 7-9 p.m. with the Royal Canadian Legion Br.#10 tribute service at 7 p.m. all in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst. (902-667-9906) Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. from Campbell’s Chapel with Ruth Gamble officiating. Memorial donations in Allen’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Red Cross, Cumberland Regional Health Care Auxiliary, IWK or charity of your choice.     Lillian Marie Fage, 81, of Brookdale passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2008 at home with her loving family by her side.
    Born in Surrettes Island, N.S., she was a daughter of the late Guillaume Henri "WiIllie" and Marie Emilienne "Millie" (Surrette) Babin.
    She was a homemaker a 4-H leader and an active member of the Hospital Auxiliary where she worked in the gift shop, Telephone Pioneers and made heart and stroke cusions. Lillian was employed as a bookkeeper along with her husband in Sackville, NB for A.A. Fage TV and Radio Repair. She was also employed with Aerovox Transformer Manufacture and later with Northern Telecom for 17 years until her retirement. Lillian then was able to follow her passion for quilting, making quilts for her family and as each grandchild went off to college, a quilt went with them. She belonged to her quilt group, "Come For Fun" and went bowling every week with her daughter Alda. Lillian enjoyed gardening, flowers and fed many different species of birds all winter long.
    She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving husband Allen Avard (Red), her precious children, Valerie Chappell (Doug DesBarres) of Minudie, N.S., Alda (Ivan) Fromm and Norma (Bob) Milner both of Hastings; son, Lloyd (Florance Beaton) of Mill Cove, N.S.;
    a loving sister, Pauline LeBlanc of Meteghan, NS, her sister in law Doris Webber of Amherst, special granddaughter Kristi of Mill Cove along with nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nephews and great nieces.
    She was predeceased by her two sons, Bruce Allen James (2008) and Randall William (1966), brothers Henri, Germain, twin brothers Lionel and Leonard as well as her sisters Annette, Eileen and Germaine.
    Resting at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with visiting on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with parish prayers at 8 p.m.
    Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst with Deacon Howard Gotell officiating.
    Interment will take place in the St. Charles-Nativity Cemetery at a later date.
    Donations in Lillian's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
