    Bona-vol.4,p.1593-b.yr,d.yr;marr.info.;originated from Normandie;arrived from LaRochelle, France into Acadia in 1651;he was a major general for charles de Latour, who in 1653,conceded to him the seigneury of Pobomcoup(Pubnico) at Cap-de-Sable, where he settled. He arrived from France accompanied by his wife. M01-p.227-b.&d yrs,b.loc, marr.info.Held the titles:baron de Pobomcoup;sieur d'Entremont and procureur du roi. Held grades:lieutenant-major and commandant des troupes.Died at the end of 1700. J04-p.137-Philippe I Mius d'Entremont,esquire,first baron of Pobomcoup(Pubnico), lieutenant-major and king's attorney...arrived at acadia in 1651 as lieutenant-major of the King's troups, under charles I de Saint-etienne de LaTour...distantly related by marriage to the bourbon family and was knighted by louis XIV. On July 17, 1653, he was ceded the fief dominant of the concession of Pobomcoup by La Tour. This concession began at Vieux Logis(Shag Harbour)...to present-day Robert's Island. Mius d'Entremont settled several families in his seigneury and lived there himself for many years, returning to port-royal in later life...
