    The sad news was received early Friday morning. December 19th by Mr. Walter Reeves of the death in Fairhaven, Mass.. of his sister, Mrs. Sidney Stowell. Mrs. Stowell, formerly Janie Reeves was the eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Reeves of Lower Freetown and had been in ill health for some time. ...sisters Lottie,  Mrs Giles of Salem...

    Obituary

    There passed away at her residence in Freetown on Wednesday after a lingering illness, Mrs. Joseph Reeves, at the age of seventy-one years. Before her marriage she was Miss Eleanor Dyment of Tyne Valley.
    Mrs. Reeves was an estimable Christian woman of a kind and loving disposition, her thoughts were always of others, ready to help in times of sickness and trouble. She was beloved by all who knew her, a devoted wife and mother and had made a wide circle of friends throughout the community.
    There are left to mourn besides her husband five sons and three daughters, namely Mrs. Sidney Stowell of Fairhaven Mass; Mrs. William Cudmore, Sask; Walter of Boston, Frank, Henry and Edward of Western Canada, Fred on the homestead and a daughter in Salem, Mass; also four sisters and two brothers, namely: - Mrs. "Dr." George Rodman and Mrs. Austin Farvell of Boston; Mrs. A.J. Phillips of Harrington; Mrs. Lemuel Cudmore, Brackley Point; Levi Dyment of Tyne Valley and Charles Dyment.

    The death occurred at the home of her son in Calvin on November 2nd, of Sarah Jane Strang, aged ninety years. She leaves to mourn one brother Garett, one sister Mrs. Alice Littlefield, both of California; two sons, Joseph T., of Freetown, and Calvin (referred to above) Lower Freetown, three daughters, Mrs. E. J. Clark, of Wilmot, Mrs. J. M. Clark, of Edmonton, and Mrs A. A. MacCaul, of Ellerslie, and one adopted daughter, Mrs. Peter Reeves, of Freetown. She also leaves thirty-six grandchildren and forty-one great grand children. Interment was made in the Kirk Cemetery at Wilmot, and the pallbearers were her four nephews, Picton Reeves, Hubert Reeves, Colin Reeves and Bert Reeves and her two grandsons Thos. MacCaul and Walter Reeves.
