But it is believed that it was Mauze sur le Mignon in the department of Deux Sevres that Pierre was born,but researchers have not been able to find the name Surette or Colarde in the registers of this parish.

    From S. White: Anonymous material sent to M de Pontchartrain indicated that Etienne had bought part of Hog Island from Jacques Bourgeosi and part of it from Francois Broussard.
