    Catherine D. Dickie (June 6, 1935 - April 14, 2012)
    Dickie, Catherine Drusilla - 76, River Philip, past away Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Northport, she was a daughter of the late Francis Lillian Atwell and the adopted daughter of Myrton and Drusilla ( Burgess) Brownell. Catherine was very involved in many community groups and had a particular interest in genealogy. She was a member the Cumberland Co. Genealogical Society, Cumberland Co. Museum, Springhill Heritage Group, North Cumberland Historical Society, and was a life member of the Westmorland Genealogical Society. Catherine loved her family and was a special Nanny and Grammy to her grand and great grandchildren. Catherine is survived by children, Cathy (Donnie) Harrison, Leamington; Donna Trenholm and David Trenholm, both of Pugwash; step children, Kay (Vaughn) Hunter, Leamington; Cindy (Allan) Graves, River Philip; Dwayne (Betty) Dickie; Floyd (Susan) Dickie, both of River Philip; sister, Evelyn (Gary) Ross, Williamsburg, VA; brother, Alfred (Judy) Brownell, Elliot’s Lake, ON; favorite neice Marla Ross; 11 grandchildren;15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James Dickie in 1997; son Lenny Trenholm. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Monday, April 16, with funeral service at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, both in MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home, 5075 Main Street, Oxford (447-2930).
