    Philip S. Webber Littleton Resident and Business Owner

    Philip Smith Webber, life-long resident of Littleton, passed after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease on June 6, 2010, at the age of 8 1. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Burne) Webber, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage.
    Born in 1928 to the parents of Horace Irving and Vera Mae Webber, he was their only child; and carried on their florist business until his retirement in 2000. He graduated from Littleton High School n 1946, and entered the United States Army, serving in the Army of Occupation, Tokyo, Japan for one year. Philip attended the University of Massachusetts, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Floraculture in 1952.
    Upon earning his degree, Philip joined his parent's business, Webber's Littleton Conservatory; and for 45 years continued to touch the lives of many residents of this community with his talent for creating beautiful floral designs and a genuine desire to bring beauty into the lives of his neighbors and customers.
    Mr. Webber was a Boy Scout leader in the 1950's. He served as Commissioner on the Littleton Light & Water Department board, as well as past president of the Littleton Rotary Club. He was active in his professional trade association, FTD for many years, and was involved in the Boston Flower Show exhibits for the organization. Philip was a 50 year member of Tahattawan Masonic Lodge AF & AM and First Church Unitarian, Littleton.
    He was an avid skier and traveler, lover of classical music and songbirds; and enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and exotic plants. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, and their five children: Janet B. Webber of Littleton, Nancy B. Enriquez and her husband John Mark Enriquez, of Harvard, Gregory P. Webber and his wife Diane Franciose Webber of Littleton, Barry C. Webber and his partner Bryan Stanton of Norfolk CT, and Sarah E. Venier of Littleton and grandchildren: Lydia B. Enriquez, Timothy A. Webber, Katherine E. Webber, Juliana F. Webber and Olivia L. Enriquez. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
    A Memorial Service will be held at the First Church Unitarian, Foster Street, Littleton on Saturday June 19 at 11 am. There will be no visiting hours.
