    Arnold "Gregory" Siddall August 30, 1955 - December 16, 2016
    It is with heavy hearts that the family of Arnold “Gregory” Siddall age 61 of Amherst announce his passing on Friday, December 16, 2016 at his residence in Amherst Shore where he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. 
    Born in Amherst, he was the son of the late Arnold and Natalie (Bird) Siddall. 
    Greg was a musician at heart. All through his life he played bass guitar and sang harmony with various bands of all genres. His love of the blues led him to being the bass guitarist for Big Daddy Shad and the Mark Green Band. Greg was very proud of his musical accomplishments including winning quarter finalist at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN with the Mark Green Band this past January 2016. He cared dearly for all his fellow musicians and his family. 
    Greg will be deeply missed by his daughters Melissa (Darren MacKay) Siddall and Sacha (Chuck) Bickford; brother John (Bea) Siddall; sister Bev (Gerard) Cooke; niece Jennifer (Jonathan) Berry; nephews Timothy (Mylene) Cooke, Thom (Erin) Cooke and Tyler (Petra) Cooke; grandchildren Dylan and Keegan MacKay, Braxton and Brylee Bickford. 
    A celebration of Greg’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m. at his daughter Sacha’s residence at 259 D’Orsay Rd, Amherst. 
    Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St. Amherst, (902) 667-9906. 
    Donations can be made in Greg’s memory to the charity of your choice.

    AMHERST - The death of Arnold Keith Siddall, age 79, of Amherst occurred suddenly on Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at the Cumberland Regional Heath Care Centre.
    He was the oldest son of the late James Hedley and Norma Lillian (Baker) Siddall.
    Arnold owned and operated Siddall Wholesale Meats for many years and retired as a salesman for Hub Meat Packers in Moncton after 22 years service.
    He is survived by his wife, Natalie (Bird) Siddall, sons John David (Beatrice) of Warren, N.S. and Arnold Gregory of Amherst, N.S., and daughter, Beverley Anne Cooke (Gerard) of Amherst, N.S.; six grandchildren: Jennifer Berry (Jonathon), Sacha Siddall, Melissa Siddall, Timothy Cooke, Thomas Cooke and Tyler Cooke; and three great-grandchildren: Sarah, Dylan and Keegan.
    Also surviving are brothers, Douglas Hedley (Florence) of Pictou, N.S. and John Olin (Donna) of Moncton, N.B., and sister Marjorie Baker Siddall of Dartmouth, N.S.
    Cremation has taken place.
    Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2, 2008 from noon until the time of the service at 1:30 p.m. all at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. Interment will take place in the East Leicester Cemetery. There will be no reception.
    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice.

    Mrs. Natalie Winnifred Siddall
    February 18, 1928 - November 29, 2008

    The death of Natalie Winnifred (Bird) Siddall age 80, of Amherst occurred on Saturday, November 29, 2008, after a lengthy illness, at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan - just 7 months to the day of the passing of her husband Arnold.
    Born in West Leicester, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Marlon (Chapman) Bird.
    Although Natalie enjoyed her life career as a wife and mother, she started her working career as a hairdresser, office worker for Siddall's Meats and later worked as a houseparent for the Atlantic Provinces Resource Centre for the Hearing Handicapped.
    Natalie is survived by her sons, John David (Beatrice), Arnold Gregory and daughter Beverley Anne Cooke (Gerard) all of Amherst area; 6 grandchildren, Tim Cooke (Mylene), Thom Cooke (Erin), Tyler Cooke, Jennifer Berry (Jonathan), Sacha Siddall (Chuck) and Melissa Siddall (Darren) and 4 great-grandchildren, Sarah Berry, Braxton Bickford, Dillon and Keegan MacKay; 3 sisters, Connie Polakoff of Winnipeg, MB, Gwen Bell (Al) of Ottawa, ON, and Betty "Lusby" Babineau of Amherst, NS and 1 brother William of Amherst.
    She was predeceased by her husband Arnold Keith Siddall; sisters Audrey "Campbell" Fox, Frances Lewis, June Dodge and brothers Gerald and Alvin (Buster).
    Cremation has taken place.
    Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2008 from 12 noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m. all in Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst. (667-9906)
    Rev. Byron Corkum will officiate.
    Immediately following the service a time of fellowship and refreshments will be held in the funeral home.
    Interment will take place in the East Leicester Cemetery.
    As an expression of sympathy the family would appreciate memorial donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

    J. SIDDALL, PRESIDENT EASTERN MEAT PACKERS
    NEW GLASGOW - J. Hedley Siddall, 58, president of Eastern Meat Packers Ltd., died unexpectedly at his home, 125 Lavinia Street. Born at Southampton, Cumberland County, he had lived in Amherst until 1951 when he moved to New Glasgow, and was a well known wholesaler and meat packer, operating in Amherst and New Glasgow for over 30 years. His main branch has been in New Glasgow since 1951. Mr. Siddall was a Royal Arch Mason, a member of the Baptist Church and of the Trenton Lions Club. Surviving are his wife, formerly Norma Baker of Amherst; three sons, Arnold in Amherst, Douglas and John in New Glasgow, all in Eastern Meat Packers; one daughter, Marjorie (Mrs. Estabrooks), Charlottetown; 10 grandchildren; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Siddall, Amherst; three brothers, Alvin in Yarmouth, Stephen and Hazen in Southampton; four sisters, Mrs. Vincent Morris and Mrs. Earl Eaton in Southampton, Mrs. George Bigelow in Amherst. The funeral will be held from Furlong Funeral Home, Church Street, Amherst, at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Interment will be in Southampton, Cumberland County. The remains will be taken to Amherst early today.
