    Beatrice Heap Oulton, of Windham, beloved wife of the late George E. Oulton Jr., passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on May 5, 2016. Bea was born in Fall River, MA on August 10, 1917 to Dr. Richard and Mary (Heap) Oulton. She was a proud graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High and the Thibodean Business College in Fall River, MA. While working at the Kerr Mills in Fall River, Bea met George Oulton. They were married on March 29, 1947 and lived briefly in Easthampton, MA before moving to Windham Center and building their life long home. Bea was a busy stay at home mom until 1965 when she was employed at CBT in Willimantic. In 1968, she began working at the University of Connecticut until her retirement in 1981. Bea was active in her church, 4-H, Girl Scouts and the Windham Center Fire Auxiliary. She was a 68-year member of the First Congregational Church of Windham Center Church. Bea loved to play bridge and card games, gardening, traveling and reading. She was an accomplish seamstress and knitter. Bea was known for her loving smile. She is survived by her three daughters: Carol and her husband George Peterson of Plainville, Linda Oulton of Branford and Barbara and her husband Richard Anstett of Winsted: Granddaughter Elena Anstett. Bea's family would like to thank the staffs at Douglas Manor and Hartford Healthcare at Home for their compassion and excellent care. Bea will be greatly missed by her family. Bea's funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 11, 2016 at 11:00am at the First Congregational Church of Windham Center, 4 Windham Center Rd, Windham, CT 06280. Burial to follow at Windham Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Congregational Church of Windham Center, 4 Windham Center Rd., Windham, CT 06280 or Windham Center Fire Department, 18 Windham Center Rd., Windham, CT 06280.
