OULTON, Ethel Grace - 87, Brookdale, formerly of East Mapleton, died September 16, 1996, in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Â Born at West Brook, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Edith (Henwood) Beaton. Â She was a graduate of Nova Scotia Teachers College, Truro, and taught elementary school throughout Cumberland County for 20 years. Â She was a member of Brookdale United Church and the sewing circle; Pythian Sisters, Riverside Temple 38, Southampton and Elizabeth Temple 6, Amherst. Â She was a member of Amherst Golden Years Society, Springhill Senior Citizens and Brookdale Community Club. Â Surviving are her second husband, James Oulton; daughter, Norma (Mrs. Thomas Crawford), East Mapleton; son, Ancil Mills, East Mapleton; stepson, Wayne Oulton, Fort McMurray, Alta.; sisters, Mrs. Doris Henwood, Dartmouth; Mrs. Georgie Dowe, Parrsboro; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Â She was predeceased by her first husband, Valdmar Mills; sisters, Ellen Beaton, Leona Pettigrew; brothers, Bernard, Leonard, Perley, Claude. Â Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst. Â Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday in Mapleton United Church, Rev. Ewen Moase and Rev. Danny Compton officiating. Â Burial to follow in Mapleton Cemetery. Â Donations to Brookdale or Mapleton United churches.
