    STRIGHT, Olive Jane - 67, Harbour Crescent, Pictou, died November 5, 1994, in Victoria General Hospital. Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Christina (Fougere) Cameron. During the Second World War, she worked as a welder at the Pictou Shipyards and later worked as a telephone operator. She was a member of Pictou United Church; UCW; Pictou Yacht Club; seniors bowling league and Pictou Lionettes. She is survived by her husband, Truman; son, Bill, Pictou; a grandson; brothers, Martin, Theodore (Ted), Gordon, all of Pictou. She was predeceased by a sister, Frances Fleury; brother, James. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Pictou United Church, Rev. Gordon MacLean officiating. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Victoria General Hospital Foundation or any charity.

    Olive married Trueman Thomas Stright 29 Aug 1953, Pictou, Pictou, Nova Scotia, Canada. Trueman (son of James Leslie Stright and Greta Maud Walton) was born 1 Jun 1923, Murray Corner, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada; died 21 Sep 2005, Halifax, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; was buried , Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
