    LANDRY, ELIZABETH ANNE - 61 AMHERST, It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Elizabeth on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at home with her family at her side after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Amherst on July 25,1951, she was the youngest daughter of the late Ida Marion (Legere) Comeau.
    Elizabeth rarely complained about her cancer or her many treatments. She faced every day with a smile and her positive attitude was noted by many. Elizabeth had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved to play cards and her knowledge of music history has always amazed her friends and family.
    Elizabeth worked for many years at Northern Telecom and later at Sharon’s Closet. She loved to travel with her husband and always had beautiful stories and pictures of her adventures when she returned home.
    Elizabeth is sadly missed by her husband Paul Landry, her daughter Melissa (Kevin), grand children Morgan Elizabeth, Mason Paul all of Amherst and her constant and purr-fect companions Sully, Sadie, and Sunny. Sisters Bertha Emmitt, Ottawa, Dorothy (Donald) Smith and Cecilia (Harold) Waller both from Dartmouth, NS and Carol (Gary) Michie, Toronto, ON, brothers Ronald (Vera) Comeau Phillip (Joyce) Comeau and Leonard (Mary Lynn) Comeau all of Amherst, and many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, sister Jane and brothers in law Robert Landry and Frank Emmitt.
    Visitation will be held on Friday,December 28, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Campbell’s Funeral Home, Amherst, NS. (902-667-9906)
    Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Campbell’s Chapel with Deacon Howard Gotell officiating.
    Interment will take place in the spring in the St.Charles-Nativity Cemetery.
    Memorial donations in Elizabeth’s memory may be made to the Cumberland County VON or the charity of your choice.
