    OBITUARY

    Alice Mary White
    1931-2008
    Peacefully, at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, the death of Alice Mary (nee Burke) White, 77, occurred on Thursday, October 9, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in River Hebert, NS, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Primillia Burke.

    Alice's family was the focus of her life and she was known as a loving wife,mother and grandmother.

    She will be sadly missed by her husband of sixty years, Harvey, River Hebert; daughters, Sheila (Arthur Gouchie), Hastings, Sandra (Ron) Ruscitti, Misssissauga,Ontario, Nancy (Tim Coates), Amherst, Debbie (Mike Farrow), Maccan, Margaret (Ross) Wilson, Erin, Ontario, Peter (Lisa) White, River Hebert; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters,Theresa (Darrell) Boss, Josephine (late Hughie) MacEachern, Mary (Avard) Christie, Annie (Jack) Bourgeois; brother, Kenneth (Linda)Burke; many nieces and nephews.

    Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Stanley, and sisters Kate Morris and Diane Walker.

    Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, Sunday,October 12, 2008 in the River Hebert and Joggins Community Funeral Home, Main Street, River Hebert, (251-2877). A memorial mass will be held at St. Paul The Apostle Roman Catholic Church, River Hebert, 11am Monday, October 13, 2008. Father David MacDonald presiding, Father George Smith assisting. Burial to follow in the St. DenisCemetery, Minudie.

    A heartfelt and special thank you is extended from the family to Dr. Beltran, Carol Embree, Alan Linkletter, the entire staff of palliative care as well as the staff of the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre and the Moncton Oncology Department.
