    MILLER, Robert Linton
    1932 – 2014

    Of Dartmouth, died peacefully at home on February 19, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in River Hebert on April 26, 1932, he was the son of the late William Linton and Dorothina (MacKenzie) Miller. Bob was a retired aircraft technician and a man of many talents. He was a rock hound, wildlife carver and jewelry maker. There was nothing that he could not fix. Bob was predeceased by his wife of 57 years in 2012, Lorraine Miller. Left to mourn are his special niece Elizabeth McPhee; brothers, Walter Miller, Eastern Passage, Brad (Carolyn) Miller, Dorval, Que., and many special nieces and nephews , Godchildren and in-laws. He was predeceased by his sisters Cora Gates, Annie Cormier, Dorothy Hounsell and Kathleen Terrio; brothers, Charles, John and Fred Miller.
    Many thanks to the QEII Palliative Home Care team, VON, Dr. Mary MacNeil, Dr. Bowes and especially his wonderful caregiver Rosemary Courtney.
    Donations may be made to the Atlantic Cancer Clinic, Cancer Research Unit, QEII Foundation, 1276 South Park St.,Room 1-040, Halifax, NS B3H 2Y9, the Children's Wish Foundation or charity of choice. There will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will beheld at St. Thomas More Church, Dartmouth on Monday, February 24 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the church hall. Mary (daughter of Joseph Gilbert (Gilbert) Vienneau and Marie Delma LeBlanc) was born 13 Apr 1934, River Hebert, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, Canada; died 27 Sep 2012, QE II Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, Halifax County, Nova Scotia, Canada; was buried Oct 2012, Dartmouth, , Nova Scotia, Canada.
