    David V. Boudreau
    1931-2017
    It is with sadness that we announce the passing of David Victor Boudreau, age 86, of Amherst, NS.  David passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre surrounded by family. 
    Born in Joggins, NS, he was a son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Comeau) Boudreau.
    David worked for the department of highways.  He enjoyed belonging to and hanging out at the Joggins Fire Department, and acted as chief for many years.  He loved fishing and spending time outdoors.  David was a great handyman and mechanic.  If you needed something fixed around the house, or a car, he could do it.
    He is survived by step children, Sharon Balleux, Amherst, Kim Hamilton, Amherst, Brett Hamilton, Joggins, Kate Kelly, USA; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister Eleanor Boudreau, Fredericton. 
    He was predeceased by his wife Caroline Peutrell; step-daughter Gale Hamilton; infant sibling William, siblings Melissa, Edgar, Arthur, Irene, Gladys, Leon, Mildred and Priscilla.
    Arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS, (902-667-8777) where a Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 11 am, Deacon Howard Gotell officiating.

According to Placide Gaudet, Francois Comeau (son of Pierre Comeau and Angelique Brun) took some steps and travelled during 1870-80 to attempt to locate the famous 'LeBlanc Fortune'.
