B27-p.26-marr.info; With his brother, Pierre, he fled the English when Fort Beausejour was captured in the summer of 1755. He married at Port Lajoie on Ile Saint Jean in 1757;his brother was one of the witnesses at his marriage. The young couple sought refuge at Restigouche where in 1760, they baptized a child. "Par la suite" the family settled at Carleton, in the Gaspe. Towards 1780, the family came to settle at Minudie. One of their sons, Alexis, married and settled at Cap Pele about 1806. He is the ancestor of one of the roots of this family in that region. J03-p.134-Born at Chipoudie in 1734,he was found to be at Point Beausejour in 1754...With his brother, Pierre, he escaped the English at the fall of Fort Beausejour. Along with other Acadians, his two brothers(pierre & Jean), they fled to the Gaspereau River -today Port Elgin-and in following the road of this area came to Shemogue and eventually to l'ile Saint Jean. They crossed the Red Sea(the Strait of Northunberland) in some small boats and eventually arrived at Port Lajoye. He married at Port Lajoye...With the surrender of l'ile Saint Jean in 1758,Michel Brun and his spouse and family, along with Pierre Brun, sought refuge at Restigouche. There his son Pierre was baptised...In 1780, or 81, Michel Brun, his spouse and four of their children ...left Carleton to go to Champs-Elyses, and in 1791, it was said that Michel Brien was a poor discreped man. He died a widower in the middle of this last year.

    Bona-vol.2,p.693-b.yr,marr.info;he was at July 1768 when his daug, Anne, was baptised;at Windsor the 29 Aug 1768 when his marriage was revalidated and at Baie Ste Marie in 1771. J03-p.136-married in a civil ceremony in 1765 to Nanette Leger who was the daug of Joseph and Claire LeBlanc of Champs Elyses. Their marr. was rehabilitated at Pisiguit on 29 Aug 1768. Charles was the only son of Charles who settled in Acadia. Other members of the family were deported to New England and, about 1768, they emigrated to Quebec. Charles was one of the "original tenants" of Desbarres at the Champs Elyses in 1768. He died between the years 1787 and 1789 because in the 1790 census, it reads: Widow Melanson, males 4, females 2.   5. 12.  Joseph LeBlanc was born 1748, Memramcook, Westmorland County, New Brunswick (son of Joseph-Andre LeBlanc and Marguerite Hebert); died 28 Apr 1813, Fox Creek, N.B.; was buried 30 Apr 1819.

    Notes:

    In 1780, Andre LeBlanc left Chezzetcook (near Halifax) with his children, Joseph and Rosalie, and his grand-daughter, Rosalie (Tounie), and settled at Fox Creek. But, He did not stay long at Fox Creek...he left to spend the rest of his days at Menoudie, where he claimed his father and mother had died. Andre's son, Joseph, who was born around 1753 (1748?) was called Jos a Joe-Andre. As a child, Joseph was exiled with his family, from Memramcook to Shediac, Cocagne, Buctouche, Richibouctou, and Miramichi. His mother died while he was but a child. In 1774 he married Marguerite Forest (born 1750) daughter of Charles Forest and Marguerite Saulnier. Joseph died of typhoid fever on April 28th, 1813, while his wife died of the same thing five days before her husband. He was 60 years old, his wife 63.

    On 23 March 1811 there was a transfer of a share of a land lease of land situated in Minudie from Joseph LeBlanc in the county of Westmorland, New Brunswick to his sons, John LeBlanc and Peter LeBlanc and son-in-law, Peter Burk Jr.
    On 28 April 1813, there was a transfer of part of a land lease of land situated at Minudie between Peter and John LeBlanc, on one part, and Manuel LeBlanc, on the other part. (note: son Peter died in Fox Creek on 12 May 1813.)

    Yvon Leger's book, Beloved Acadia of My Ancestors, mentions how by this time DesBarres' properties in Menoudie, Nova Scotia had been sold to the tyrant, ambitious and vexing 'King' Seaman, and it was for this reason that Mathurin Comeau, his brother-in-law Francois Leger and other Acadians, asked and obtained permission for new land titles at Scoudouc, New Brunswick.
