Information received from Frank Catalli (Dec 2013- Mar2014) shows that Raphael is the son of Stanislas (Tanis) Comeau and Marie Burk. This is also shown in the Comeau Family tree at the back of Paul Surette's book Histoire des Trois-Rivières, Vol II.-note by A.Owen,Mar2014

Although the Comeau genealogy at the back of Paul Surette's book, Histoire des Trois-Rivières, Vol.II indicates that Raphael left Minudie to settle in Painsec around 1855 it is uncertain whether he made the move. In April 1856 his son, Philip, is baptized in Minudie. A Raphael T Comeau is buried in Minudie in March 1864 and it is believed that this is Raphael, son of Stanislas\Tanis Comeau.
