    Gary W. McCormick (May 9, 1938 - July 17, 2011)
    Gary Wayne McCormick CD age 73, of Northport, NS passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan with his loving family by his side. Born in Springhill, NS he was a son of the late William and Doris McCormick. Gary was a Veteran with the Canadian Armed Forces ( Air Force) as an Aero Engine Technician for 32 years, serving in Portage La Prairie, MB, CFB Gagetown, NB, Borden, ON, Cold Lake, AB as well as overseas in France and Germany. He retired from CFS St. Margaret's, NB and CFB Chatham, NB in 1989. Gary enjoyed playing crib, calling bingo and spending time with his many grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife of 48 years the former Margaret Trenholm; his children, Karen (Frank Reid) McCormick, Amherst Head, Daren McCormick, Amherst, Ian (Linda) McCormick, Toronto, ON, Cpl. Steven (Tina Ayer) McCormick CD, Oromocto, NB and Jason McCormick, Northport, NS; eight grandchildren, Erin, Chance, Autumn, Jordon, Amber, Brandan, Dallas and Summer; also survived by his three aunts, Jackie, June and Hilda; several nieces, nephews and extended family; Gary is sadly missed by his dog, Squeek. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his half brother, Bill McCormick. As per Gary's wishes, cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst (667-9906). A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
