Bona-vol.2,p.441-name,marr.info. He was the councilor and lieutenant-general of Acadia. No doubt he came from Cougnes, in the diocese of La Rochelle, France. He married his wife prior to leaving France. He arrived in Acadia around 1642. He was also the local judge as well as lieutenant general.
