Ray S. Steele
Ray Steele, age 84, of Seattle, Washington passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Evergreen Hospice Care Center. Born to Ray S Steele Sr and Elva Steele he lived in Seattle his entire life.
Ray graduated from Lincoln High School and played football for the Lake City Boy's Club for several years in his late teens. Ray spent the majority of his career at Air Mac/Hertz as a heavy duty mechanic. After "retiring" he worked for his son at Aurora Rents.
In retirement Ray enjoyed working on his Model T's and he belonged to the Puget Sound Model T Club where he was both past President and editor of the newsletter. He and his wife Nona enjoyed many "tours" and outings with the club.
Ray was married to his wife Nona for over 65 years. He was the loving and caring father of three children; Linda Su (Wayne), Larry Richard (Leanne), Deborah Ann (Thom) and six grandchildren; Timi, Tami, David, Erica, Kari and Jeni. He was also survived by 15 great grandchildren and his cousin, George Sullivan.
