    Mrs. Emily Alena Wilder, 98, of Danvers, died Friday, March 21, 2014 at Hathorne Hill healthcare facility in Danvers. She was born in South Portland, ME on June 12, 1915, and was the last surviving child of Watson and Annis (Small) Tingley. She graduated from South Portland High School in 1934. She married her husband of 59 years, John H. Wilder, the following year. She worked at Putnam Pantry in Danvers, and she and her husband attended Maple Street Congregational Church in Danvers, where they belonged to the Couples Club. For many years, they bowled with the senior citizens at Sunnyside Bowling Alley. She was active as a Girl Scout Leader. She was predeceased by her husband in 1994 and a daughter, Louise A. Abbott of Manchester, NH in 2009 and son-in-law Arnold Abbott in 1999. She is survived by her daughters Carol A. Hayes and her husband Bernard of North Chittenden, VT, Joan M. Wilder-Gee and her husband Edward of North Chittenden, VT, and Sally E. Pfeiffer and her husband Douglas of Blacksburg, VA; six grandchildren, Stephen Abbott of Danvers, Mark Hayes of Chittenden, VT, Vikki Colomb and her husband Ronald of Rutland, VT, Emily Pfeiffer of San Diego, CA, Vera Pfeiffer of Madison, WI, and Georgia Pfeiffer of Tuscon, AZ, and two great-grandchildren, Aurora and Alena Hayes of Chittenden, VT. ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Saturday, April 26th at 2 P.M. Relatives and friends invited. A visiting hour will be held prior to the service from 1 to 2 P.M. Burial in Holten Cemetery, Danvers. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.
