Obituary
Nadya V. Johnston, 98, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at North Bay Manor, Smithfield, where she resided for 17 months. Â Formerly, she was a resident of Lincoln for 65 years. Â
She was the wife of the late Robert L. Johnston. Â
Born in Ronse, Belgium, she was the daughter of the late Achille & Rachel (DeWorm) Vallez. Â Mrs. Johnston leaves two daughters, Linda J. Habif of Sarasota, Florida, Sandra J. Cameron (Bruce) of Exeter, RI, a son, Robert L. Johnston, Jr. Â (Colleen) of Providence, RI, two granddaughters, five grandsons, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a sister of the late Irene J. Crocker of Rumford, RI.
Mrs. Johnston was a payroll clerk at the former Narragansett Wire Co. of Pawtucket for 16 years. Â She was also a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church of Pawtucket for 64 years and a member of Queen Esther Chapter #2 O.E.S. of Pawtucket.
A memorial service will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church 670 Weeden Street, Pawtucket, RI on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 10am.  Burial will be private.
