    Elmer F. Morash 1924-2014
    Elmer F. Morash, 89 years of age, of Amherst, formerly of Shinimicas, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Gables Lodge, Amherst. Born in Cole Harbour he was a son of the late Foster & Dora (Sellars) Morash.
    Elmer moved to Northport, N.S. around 1946.  A hard working man he was active in farming until he became engaged in Lobster Fishing. Following his career in fishing he was employed as a truck driver with Greeno's Lime Spreading up until 1981 when he joined Maritime Sod Ltd. retiring in 1988.
    Elmer will be sadly missed by daughters, Betty Sinclair (Christopher) of Amherst, N.S. and Susan Soulliere (John) of Calgary, AB; sons Frazer of Amherst, N.S., David (Shirley) of Lower Shinimicas, N.S., Richard (Kathleen) of Wallace River West, N.S.; sister, Ruby Bissett of Dartmouth N.S., brother Ross (Sherann) of Hamilton, ON. and seven grandchildren ,10 great grandchildren.
    Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, the former Hilda Trenholm, sister Esther Smith, brother, Mitchell.
    Cremation has taken place under the direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, N.S. (667-8777) . No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at the Furlong-Jones Funeral Home on  Saturday, March 15, 2014 at  2 p.m. Burial to take place in the Northport Hillside Cemetery at a later date.
    Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to  the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetic Association.
    Special Thank You to the Nursing Staff  of Gables Lodge for the wonderful care and compassion given to our father.

    Hilda Morash 1932-2007
    Hilda S. Morash, age 74, of Shinimicas, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2007 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
    Born in Amherst Shore she was a daughter of the late W. Harvey & Elma (Smith) Trenholm.
    Loved by all who knew her, she will be sadly missed by her husband, Elmer; daughters: Betty Sinclair (Christopher), Ajax, ON, Susan Soulliere (John), Calgary, AB; sons: Frazer, Shinimicas, David (Shirley), Amherst Shore, NS, Richard (Kathy), Amherst; sisters: Della Rushton (Donald), Mount Pleasant, NS, Ina Chase (Israel) of Moncton; seven grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother Charlie.
    Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, Amherst (667-8777). A memorial service will be held at Furlong-Jones Chapel, 66 Church St, on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 1 pm with Rev. Steven Longmoore officiating. Burial will take place in the Northport Hillside Cemetery later in the spring.

She was predeceased by brother, Charlie. Arrangements entrusted to Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, Amherst (667-8777), where a memorial service will be held in the chapel Saturday at 1 p.m. Spring burial in Northport Hillside Cemetery.
