    Mrs. Vaunda Ann Collins, wife of Casey Collins of Moncton NB, passed away at the Moncton City Hospital on Sunday August 28, 2016 at the age of 61.
    Born in Chatham, NB, she was the daughter of the late Vaughn and Sturcha (Dolly)(Geikie) MacDonald. She was a Homecare worker and a member of the Baptist Church.
    She is survived by her daughter Robyn Nowlan (Mike) of Amherst NS, her son Joey (Vanessa) Jones of Moncton, sisters Carolyn Pineau (Joseph) of Miramichi and Sandra Williston (Gerald) of Bay Du Vin, brothers Avard (Cathy) MacDonald of Napan Bay and Rodney (Donna) MacDonald of Bay Du Vin and 5 grandchildren, Jonathan, Emily, Josh, Braedon and McKenzie.
    She was predeceased by her parents.
    Mrs. Vaunda Ann Collins is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, with visitation on Wednesday from 7-9. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday September 1, 2016 at 11 am at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dave Steeves officiating. Burial will follow in Black River Community Cemetery.
    Arrangements are in the care of Davidson’s Funeral Home.

    MacDONALD, VAUGHN A. - 1925 - 2014 - Miramichi - Vaughn Archibald MacDonald, husband of the late Sturcha Beatrice (Dolly) MacDonald, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Friday evening, March 7, 2014, at the age of 88. Born in Bayside, on August 23, 1925, he was the son of the late J. Archibald and Isabelle (Gibson) MacDonald. He was an autobody repairman and a former employee of both McCarthy Sales Ltd. and R.W. Kelly & Sons Ltd. He was an adherent of St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving in Canada with R.C.A.S.C. (Canadian Army). He is survived by four daughters, Caroline Preston, of Miramichi, Vaunda Batemen (Casey), of Moncton, Sandra Williston (Gerald), of Bay du Vin, Dianne Holder, of Chatham, Ont.; two sons, Avard MacDonald (Kathy), of Point Aux Carr and Rodney MacDonald (Donna), of Bay du Vin; three sisters, Agnes Moore, of Saskatchewan, Rena Newbat (Ralph), of Moncton, Lillian MacCullum (Neil), of Miramichi Bay; one brother, Cecil MacDonald (Mercy), of Miramichi; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Dolly Geikie; one sister, Winnifred Williston; one brother, Warren MacDonald.
    Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge, on Wednesday, March 12th, at 2 pm, conducted by Penny Postlethwaite. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery, later in the spring. Please note, members of Branch # 3, Royal Canadian Legion are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 7:30 pm for a Veterans Service. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or any charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated by the family.     MacDONALD, STURCHA B. (DOLLY) - 1923 - 2011 - Miramichi - Sturcha Beatrice (Dolly) MacDonald, wife of Vaughn A. MacDonald, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, and formerly of South Black River Road, passed away her residence, on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at the age of 87. Born in Tabusintac, on October 31, 1923, she was the daughter of the late James and Christina (Stewart) Geikie. She was a homemaker and an adherent of St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge. She is survived by her husband, Vaughn A. MacDonald; three daughters, Carolyn Preston, of Miramichi, Vaunda Bateman (Casey), of Moncton, Sandra Williston (Gerald), of Bay du Vin; two sons, Avard MacDonald (Kathy), of Point Aux Carr and Rodney MacDonald (Donna), of Bay du Vin; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Clara McCafferty and Gladys Geikie; three brothers, Stewart Geikie, Percy Stewart and Manford Stewart.
