    Everett E. Fields, age 83, a resident of Belen, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 15.
    He served his country as an Army paratrooper during World War II.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Fields.
    He is survived by his daughter, Martha Chavez of Belen; sons, Stephen Fields and Brian Fields both of Lakeland, Fla.; two grandson; and two great-grandsons.
    Services will be at a later date in Rhode Island. Arrangements are being handled by Riverside Funeral Home of Belen, 418 W. Reinken Ave. An online guest register is available at www.riversideofbelen.

    Mary L. Fields
    Retired nurse's aide, former resident
    Mary Louise (Emery) Fields, 78, of Lakeland, Fla., and formerly of Bristol, died Jan. 6, 2004, in Lakeland. She was the wife of Everett E. Fields of Lakeland.
    Born in Warren, a daughter of the late Delia and Aurel "Frank" Emery, she lived in Bristol until 1979, when she and her husband moved to Key West, Fla., and lived on a boat for 19 years. They moved to Lakeland six years ago.
    Mrs. Fields attended Warren schools and worked as a nurse's aide in nursing homes in Bristol and Warren.
    In addition to her husband, she leaves two sons, Steve E. and Brian F. Fields, both of Lakeland; a daughter, Martha Chavez of Bristol, two grandsons and two great-grandsons.
