    CHAPMAN, DORIS BROWNELL - Doris Brownell Chapman, age 90, of Baie Verte, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 while surrounded by the comfort of her family at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Born in Baie Verte, she was a daughter of the late Dixon and Greta (Brownell) Goodwin. Doris was a member of the Tidnish Bridge United Church, as well as the Baie Verte Senior Citizens. She was formerly employed with the Village Pharmacy for 19 years. She will be sadly missed by five sons, John (Helen), James (Gail) and Gerry all of Baie Verte, Allison (Marsha) of Edmonton, AB; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a brother, William Goodwin of Baie Verte. She was predeceased by her husband, Claude; foster son, Ken; brother, Roger; and sister, Ruth. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St., Port Elgin, NB (538 2241) where visiting hours will take place on Monday from 7 to 9 pm . The funeral service will take place from the St. James United Church, Baie Verte on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 2 pm, Rev. Dr. James Shaffner officiating.     Doris married Claude Allison Chapman 14 Dec 1938. Claude (son of Tupper Allison Chapman and Beatrice Ogden) was born 19 Oct 1918, Chapman Settlement, Cumberland, Nova Scotia, Canada; died 25 Oct 2004, Sackville, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada; was buried , Lorneville Cemetery, Lorneville, Cumberland, Nova Scotia, Canada.
