    Randall J. "Randy" Hogan, Jr., 84, died Wednesday May 11, 2010 at MetroWest Medical Center after a long illness. He was surrounded by his family in his final days. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eleanor C. Hogan, six children and 14 grandchildren. Randall and family lived for 47 years in Framingham and 10 years in Southborough. Son of Col. Randall J. Hogan, Sr. and Catherine (Sheehan) Hogan, Randall was born in Burlington, Vt., and graduated from Western High School in Washington, DC after living in many states as the son of a career Army officer. He received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institiute of Technology, and later received a masters in mechanical engineering from Northeaster Univ. while rearing six children. He worked 8 years for General Motors in Framingham and retired from Raytheon after a 32 year career. In addition to his wife, Randall is survived by his children: Kara Buzanoski and husband Gerald of Northborough, Vesta Kosmo and husband Michael of Wellesley, Randall Hogan and wife Sara of Orono, Minnesota, Christopher Hogan and wife Mary of Colden, NY, Lawrence Hogan and wife Paula of Northborough and David Hogan of Worcester; his grandchildren: Todd Buzanoski, Taryn Marquez & husband Jason, Timothy Buzanoski & wife Caroline, Tefta Checola & husband Adam, Adriana Kosmo, Jenna Kosmo, Stephen Kosmo, Christopher Hogan, Jr., Carolyn Hogan, Emily Hogan, Kelly Hogan, Nicholas Hogan, Dallas Hogan and Daniel Hogan; a sister: Vesta Flaggert of San Antonio, TX and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his sister Catherine Hogan. Randall had a zest for life and had many interests. He was a longtime active member of St. Jeremiah's Church, later St. George's and finally St. Anne's Parish in Southborough. He achieved 4th degree status in the Knights of Columbus, loved square dancing with Ellie, personal computing and piloting single engine aircraft. He volunteered for decades at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, but his greatest passion was spending time with his family. Visiting hours are Friday May 14 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Boyle Bros. Funeral Home, 173 Union Ave., Framingham. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday May 15 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Church, 20 Boston Rd., Southborough. (www.stanne-southborough.org) Burial will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham Centre. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Randall's name may be sent to: the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament, 1663 Bristol Turnpike, Bensalem, PA. 19020 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
