    Thomas E. Lowerison (December 29, 1920 - July 28, 2011)It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Everett Lowerison, 90, husband of Marion Evelyn, on Thursday July 28, 2011 at Gables Lodge in Amherst with his loving family by his side. Born December 29, 1920 in Dorchester, NB Tom was the son of the Late Bliss Alma and Viva Lucilla (Etter)Lowerison. Tom served overseas in the Second World War; part of the "D Day plus three" invasion with the New Brunswick Rangers. He served 35 years with the Canadian Penitentiary Service, in Dorchester NB, Springhill NS, Blue Mountain and Browns Flats. Tom was honoured with the Queens Silver Jubilee Medal. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and also served there as custodian for several years. In his younger years he played with the Sackville Citizens Band and the Parrsboro Band. In addition to his wife of 65 years, the former Marion Hastings, Amherst, Tom is survived by his daughter Donna(Dirk)Larooi of Quispamsis, NB and his son , Ronald (Christina) of Lower Sackville,NS; His grandchildren, Lysbeth Larooi of Saint John, William Larooi (Sarah Henderson) of Calgary, and Heather Lowerison of Lower Sackville. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Tom was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his sister Evelyn MacPherson, and brothers Carmen, George, and Claude Lowerison. His remains are resting at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church Street, Amherst (667-9906) with visiting on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 2 -- 4 and 7- 9 p.m. Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 2 p.m. from First Baptist Church, Amherst with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. A time of sharing and refreshments will follow in the church vestry. Interment will take place in the Amherst Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in Tom's memory may be made to the First Baptist Church, Alzheimer's Society or Epilepsy Foundation.     Marion Lowerison February 21, 1925 - April 7, 2014
    It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Marion Evelyn Lowerison age 89, wife of the late Thomas Lowerison, on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Gables Lodge surrounded by her loving family.
    Born February 21, 1925 in Amherst, Marion was the daughter of the late Charles Wellington and Maude Evelyn (Milner) Hastings.
    In her early years, Marion worked for Woolworth in Amherst.
    Marion lived most of her life in Amherst, except for the years spent in Dorchester and Springhill where her husband was employed. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church, Amherst where she was active with the Mothers Association as well as C.G.I.T.
    Marion will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Donna (Dirk) Larooi, Quispamsis, NB and son, Ronald (Christina), Middle Sackville, NS; beloved grandchildren, Lysbeth Larooi, Saint John, NB, William (Sarah) Larooi, Cochrane, AB, and Heather (Tom Steneson) Lowerison, Middle Sackville, NS; ³precious² great granddaughter, Adelynn Larooi, Cochrane, AB; Also surviving are her sister, Greta Purdy and brother, Ronald Hastings both of Amherst and brothers, Eldon (Hilda) Hastings, Dartmouth, NS, and Gerald (Marjorie) Hastings, Fredericton, NB; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
    In addition to her husband Thomas of 65 years, Marion was predeceased by sisters, Gladys in infancy, Grace Hastings and Frances Smith.
    A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Campbell¹s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906). Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from First Baptist Church, Amherst with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. Reception will follow in the church vestry. Interment will be at a later date in the Amherst Cemetery.
    Family flowers only please, memorial contributions in Marion¹s memory may be made to the Restoration Fund of First Baptist Church or charity of your choice.
