    Parkin, Carol Sharon (Strang)
    MAZOMANIE - Carol Sharon (Strang) Parkin, age 71, of Mazomanie,died on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, at Don and Marilyn Anderson Hospice Care Center in Fitchburg. Carol was born on Dec. 12, 1934,to LaVern and Mildred G. (Heydon) Strang. She was raised in Black Earth and graduated from Black Earth High School, in 1952. Carol married John A. Parkin of Mazomanie, in 1954. Carol's hobbies were gardening, camping, collecting dolls and watching her grandkids playing in sports. Carol worked as a cook for Rennebohm/ Walgreensfor 17 years before going to the Mazo Deli for 18 years. She is survived by her children, Lorrie Parkin of Madison, Terri (Craig) Judd of Verona and Donald (Jamie) Parkin of North Freedom; her grandchildren, Joshua Parkin of Mazomanie and Tyler and Nicole Judd of Verona; her brothers and sisters, Milton (Rachel) Strang of Madison, Shirley (Irv) Williams of Black Earth, Avis (Donald) Nesvacil of Merrimac, William (Mary) Strang of Black Earth, James (Sue) Strang of Black Earth, David (Marlene) Strang of Mazomanie, Larry Strang of Black Earth and Jackie (Bernie) Bach of Black Earth; her brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her mother and father-in-law, Archie and Kathryn Parkin; her niece and godchild, Heidi Strang; and her sister-in-law, Denise Parkin.Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10,2006, at MIDLAND UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 10235 Highway KP, Mazomanie, with Pastor Dianne D. Vielhuber officiating. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery in Black Earth Township. Friends may call prior to the service from 1 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. on Sunday at the church. The Ellestad Camacho Funeral Home in Black Earth is serving the family.
