    Obituary

    The death of the late Colson John Sobey husband of the late Annie Sobey of 5283 Route 108, Lower Derby, NB, occurred on Sunday, August 10, 2003 at the Miramichi Senior Citizen Home at the age of 90. Born in Maple Glen, NB, he was the son of the late Manfred and May (Ericson) Sobey.

    Colson is survived by: two sons: Eugene (Carmel) of Lower Derby, NB; Newton (Linda) of Truro, NS; two daughters: Wendy Hayden (Rev. Rick) of Scarborough, ON; Bonnie Doak (Jerry) of Doaktown, NB; one brother: Roy Sobey (Merle) of Maple Glen, NB; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by: one sister: Alma and six brothers: Robert, Walter, Clarence, Eric, Gordon, and Eldon.

    The family received visitors at Bell's Funeral Home, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service was held from the Lower Derby Baptist Church on Wednesday at 1 PM with Rev. Rick Hayden officiating. Pianist was Betty Weatherby, Solo "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" was rendered by Shirley Estey and congregational hymn was "Amazing Grace." Active pallbearers were: Chuck Plaxton, Zack Savary and grandsons Dean and Ray Sobey, Matthew Doak, Timothy Hayden. Burial followed in the Lower Derby Baptist Church Cemetery.

    As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Lower Derby Baptist Church.
