BROWN, Bruce RobertAfter a long and valiant battle with cancer, Bruce fell asleep peacefully and without pain on April 7, 2010 at the age of 61. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Sandy; his parents, Harold and Barbara; his children, Ellen, Margaret (Chris), Gordon (Manuella), Ben (Chelsea), and Tyler; his grandchildren, Grant, Bruce, Stirling, and Myka; his sister, Margaret; and many extended family members and friends. Predeceased by his son, Jamie. Bruce was known and loved for his big heart, always quick with a smile and a hug. Dad made friends without even trying, regaling them with historical facts and amusing stories. His hospitality was renowned - people would drop in on Mom and Dad and expect to be thoroughly entertained. Bruce kept his sense of humour right to the end, even joking with the nurses. His unshakable faith in Jehovah God's promise of the resurrection kept him focused, knowing that he would wake up in a perfect world, surrounded by so many loved ones. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 17 at 2 p.m., Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 15577 82 Ave, Surrey , B.C.
