    FISHER (Siddall), Elsie Marie - 93, Bible Hill, passed away December 14, 2009, in Wynn Park, Truro. Born in Southampton, she was a daughter of the late Calvin and Bertha (Trowsdale) Siddall. Elsie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose life revolved around her husband, children and home. She was a lifetime member of St. David's United Church. She is survived by daughters, Patricia (Neil) Peck, Sandi (Greg) Bell, both of Truro; sons, Glen (Lesley), Truro; John (Pamela), Barrie, Ont.; grandchildren, Troy, Trevor, Charmaine, Robyn, Shannon, Joe, Mary James, Rose, Mark, Lucy; great-grandchildren, Cameron, McKyla, Kyra, Meaghan; sisters, Edna (Ralph) Trenholm; Darlene (Garnet) Thompson; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Bert; sisters, Leoda Rodgers, Annie Siddall; brothers, Frank and Elmer. No visitation by request. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 17, at 2:30 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro with Rev. Andrew Crowell officiating. Spring interment in Bible Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. On-line condolences may be made at: www.colchestercommunity.com

    SOUTHAMPTON, Cumberland County - Mrs. Calvin Siddall, 89, of Southampton died Wednesday in All Saints Hospital, Springhill.Born in Springhill, she was the former Bertha Florence Trowsdale, a daughter of the late Elijah and Hannah Trowsdale.She was a member of the United Church of Canada.Surviving are two sons, Frank and Elmer, both of Southampton; four daughters, Elsie (Mrs. Bert Fisher), Truro; Edna (Mrs. Ralph Trenholm), Southampton; Leota (Mrs. Frank Rogers), Ottawa, and Darlene (Mrs. Garnet Thompson), Mapleton, Cumberland County; two sisters, Effie (Mrs. Charles Bradley), Sidney, and Myrtle (Mrs. Hedley Dow), Cardiff, Ont.; 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter Annie, a brother Willard, five sisters, Lila, Vida, Mary Ellen, Mabel and Ethel, and a great grandson.The body is in A. H. Brown's Funeral Home, Springhill, where the funeral will be Friday at 2:30 p.m., Pastor John Pringle officiating, with committal in Springhill receiving vault and burial in Southampton cemetery at a later date.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any charity.
