    Obituary

    Gregory Wilson Peckham

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a loving husband, father and grandfather, Gregory Wilson Peckham, 81, at the Halifax Infirmary on January 11th, 2021. Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Harold and Muriel Peckham.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Effie (Vienneau) Peckham; daughter, Elizabeth (Robert) McPhee, Dartmouth and son Michael (Deborah) Peckham, Edmonton; grandchildren Melissa and Jeremy McPhee and Andrew and Dominic Peckham. He was a true family man and was happiest when he was doing something for his children or grandchildren. Grampie loved his grandchildren deeply and there’s nothing he would not do for them. They loved him to the moon and back. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Muriel Beers.

A machinist by trade, Greg worked at Hermes Electronics for many years, retiring from Ultra Electronics in 2004. He loved to wash his car and had the cleanest car on the block. He was often seen driving Effie to appointments. Everyone who met Greg would agree that he was a kind, gentle man. He will be greatly missed by many.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 15th, 2021 at 11am at St.Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church in Cole Harbour. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance is limited. Please contact the family if you are interested in attending so you can be added to the list. Live-streaming will be available on the funeral home website for those unable to attend.

Memorial donations can be to a charity of your choice.

Special thanks to the doctors and nurses who took such good care of him for the past 6 weeks on 8.4 of the Halifax Infirmary. Your kindness and care are much appreciated.

Gone from our sight, by never from our hearts.

Gregory married Effie Jeanne Vienneau [Group Sheet]
