    Obituary

    OGDEN, Dorothy Sara - 82, East Amherst, died June 13, 1996, in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Baie Verte Road, N.B., she was a daughter of the late William and Lilly (Oulton) Smith. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Amherst. Surviving are daughters, Joyce Morash, East Amherst; Jeanne (Mrs. Ray Long), Charlottetown, P.E.I.; son, Harold (Bus), Dartmouth; sisters, Maude Gray, Abbotsford, B.C.; Grace Oulton, Calgary, Alta.; brothers, Arnold and Allison, Shinimicas; Harold, Amherst; Layton, East Amherst; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold; brothers, Victor, Austen. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church, Amherst, Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. Burial in Shinimicas Bridge Cemetery. Donations to First Baptist Church, Shinimicas United Church or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.

    AMHERST - The death of William Renaldo Smith occurred suddenly at his home on Eddy Street. He was 75 and a well known lumberman. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Smith of Shinimicas. Besides his second wife Rena, he is survived by three daughters, Maude (Mrs. B.C. Gray) Edmundston, N.B.; Mrs. W.C. Oulton, Brantford, Ont.; Mrs. H.M. Ogden, East Amherst; six sons, Layton, Halifax; Arnold, Shinimicas Bridge; Victor, Tyndal Road; Austin, Shinimicas Bridge; Harold, Amherst and Allison, Oxford; three step-children Todd T. Trenholm, Baie Verte Road, Mrs. Robert Oulton, Amherst and Mrs. Layton Cameron, Amherst. The late Mr. Smith will rest at Furlongs Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held in the Shinimicas Bridge Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30.
