    Evelyn Ruby Lane

    SACKVILLE, N.B. – The death of Evelyn Ruby Lane, age 80, of Sackville occurred at the Drew Nursing Home, on Wednesday, November 21, 2007.

    Born in Baie Verte, she was a daughter of the late Lorenzo and Mary Ann (Hunter) Carson.

    Evelyn was a former square dancer and bowler. She was also a long time member of the Sackville United Church and was employed with Henderson’s Drug Store for several years.

    Evelyn will be sadly missed by her husband Richard (Rick) Lane, Sackville; a daughter Diane Calder (Don Swan), Moncton; a granddaughter, Laura (Jeremy) Calder-Page, Riverview; two great grandchildren, Sophia and Ariel; two brothers, James (Phyllis), Sackville, and Cecil (Mildred), Oshawa, ON; one sister Kay Reid, Sackville. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ronald Beal.

    Arrangements were entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300) where visiting hours were held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
    The funeral service was held at the Jones Funeral Home on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, at 11 a.m., Rev. Lloyd Bruce officiating. Burial followed in the Sackville Cemetery.Those wishing to make a donation may do so to the Alzheimer's Society, the Drew Nursing Home or a charity of your choice.
