    Obituary

EDGETT, DOROTHY JEAN - Dorothy J. Edgett, 85, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday November 28, 2009. Born in Sussex and raised in Dorchester, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Edwin and Jean Black (Rainnie) Oulton. She was retired from the Royal Bank Moncton and attended Mount Royal United Church. For many years, Dot was very active with The Moncton Golf and Country Club, Beaver Curling Club and the Fundy Toastmistress Club. Dot loved her pets and was determined to remain in her own home with them as long as possible. She was able to do this almost to the end of her journey, thanks to the loving and dedicated care of her two friends Ann Allen and Phyllis Lisson. The family would like to thank them and the nursing staff of 3600 for their care and compassion in Dot's final days. Dorothy will be sadly missed by her sister, Shirley (Oulton) Dobson, Moncton; stepson, Terry Edgett (Dianna), Shediac Cape and their family; nephew, Tom Dobson, Moncton; nieces, Barbara Dobson, ON; Brenda Wytsma (Rick), ON; Mary Balser (George), Stoney Creek, NB and their families. Dorothy is also survived by daughter, Patricia Jean MacLennan, Bramalea, ON. In addition to her parents, predeceased by her husband, Herbert "Herb" C. Edgett (January 2003). In honoring Dorothy's wishes, no visitation by personal request. Funeral Service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Wednesday, December 2, 2009, 11:00 am. Rev. Brett Anningson and Rev. Ron Maund officiating. Reception following the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In Dorothy's memory, donations to SPCA or memorial of choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences at www.fergusonknowlesfh.com
