    Bob was sent out by Tom Edder (a horse trader) to pick up a load of horses. They would go out by train and get a load of horses and the crew fed and watered the horses on the trip home. After a few trips (I think) he joined a farm harvest crew (threshing).

    In 1937 he bought a 1/4 section of land 12 miles west of Nanton, AB. which is still occupied by Bill and his family
